I believe travel has been part of the fabric of my genetic makeup, starting with grandparents who migrated to the capital city from small village in the northern part of Central African Republic; to my mother who left C.A.R. for the US in search of a better life and future for her children. To now myself who has visited almost 30 countries in counting and passing it to my daughter who is making a difference with community work in Europe and Thailand. Travel no longer serves as just a migration for better life in our family, but to me it's a tool to learn about our world, nature, cultures, people, and experience wide range of amazing wonders our planet has to offer.
I fell in love with it when I took my daughter to the Bahamas then fell depressed upon returning home. I knew then that travel has to be incorporated into my life's journey, and despite being a broke single mom, I did what I needed to plan just one trip outside the country every year. A second trip (solo) the following year to London confirmed my love of travel and world exploration. I want my journey to inspire others enough to step outside their comfort zone and take the chance to be amazed by what the world has to offer through different places, people, food and cultures.
50 countries by age 50!!! That is the goal and I’m currently on country #28 and counting.
How do I choose where to go next? I don’t !!! I let nature decides & the spirit guides me, based on cheap flights being sent to me, getting invitation from people in that country or my curiosity about something I read regarding the country.
Best way to capilatize on your trip is to group countries together under one trip. For example: Spain & Portugal -France, Italy, Germany & Switzerland - Singapore, Malaysia , & Bali - Kenya, Rwanda , Tanzania & Uganda - Colombia, Chile, Brazil & Argentina - Mexico, Costa Rica & Guatemala..etc.
Here I’ll be sharing some of my most asked about travel outfits, where to get them and some “ MUST HAVEs” travel gadgets such as first aid kit, international adapter plug and tripod if you’re into photos/videos.
